Mitochondrial dynamic modulators improve cognitive function in rats with myocardial infarction

چکیده
Background Cognitive impairment is the most frequent mental health problem among people with heart failure (HF). Brain pathologies in HF-induced cognitive are possibly associated imbalance of brain mitochondrial dynamics. Therefore, therapeutic interventions targeting dynamics by fission inhibition or fusion enhancement would provide beneficial outcomes to HF subjects. This study aimed test whether modulating dynamic improves function rats via reduced dysfunction, and dendritic spine loss. Method Rats underwent either sham surgery permanent left anterior descending coronary artery ligation-induced myocardial infarction (MI). MI developed ejection fraction (%LVEF <50%) at 1-week post-operation. Then, were assigned receive one four following interventions: (1) DMSO as a vehicle, (2) enalapril (a positive control, 10 mg/kg/day, orally), (3) division Inhibitor (Mdivi-1, 1.2 intraperitoneal (IP) injection), (4) promotor (M1, 2 IP injection). All received intervention for 4 weeks, then, NOL was assessed, sacrificed. density determined. Result impairment, when compared group, it increased oxidative stress, loss hippocampus (Figure). Treatment Mdivi-1 M1 improved similar enalapril, indicated increasing %preference NOL. Furthermore, all treatments effectively ROS levels hippocampal Conclusion Mitochondrial inhibitor through reduction preserved density.

Effect of exercise training and L-arginine supplementation on oxidative stress and left ventricular function in rats with myocardial infarction
Introduction: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of exercise training and L-arginine supplementation on oxidative stress and systolic ventricular function in rats with myocardial infarction (MI). Methods: Four weeks after the surgically-induced MI, 40 male Wistar rats were randomly assigned to the following 4 groups (n=10): MI-sedentary control (Sed) MI-exercise (Ex) MI-...

BACKGROUND: Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal cellscan transdifferentiate into Cardiomyocyte cells and improveheart function after transplantation. Since biomaterials canimprove the cell retention in the site, cell survival and differentiation, heart tissue engineering is now being explored as anapplied solution to support cell-based therapies and increasetheir efficacy for myocardial diseases. Ch...
متن کاملParkin Regulates Mitochondrial Autophagy After Myocardial Infarction in Rats
BACKGROUND To study the role of Parkin in the regulation of mitochondrial autophagy in the heart by assessing mitochondrial autophagy and changes in Parkin protein expression in rat myocardium after myocardial infarction (MI). MATERIAL AND METHODS Rats were randomly assigned to three groups: control, sham, and MI. Four weeks after induction of MI, ultrasonic examination of the rats was performe...
متن کاملThe effect of cognitive behavioral therapy on depression and anxiety in patients with myocardial infarction
Background: Anxiety and depression are both predisposing and consequent factor in patients with myocardial infarction (MI). Thus relief of anxiety and depression has an important role in reducing possibility of further MI and also quality of life promotion. Aim: The aim of the current study was to determine the effect of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) on the anxiety and depression in patien...
متن کاملMyocardial Infarction in Rats
To determine whether acute left ventricular failure associated with myocardial infarction leads to architectural changes in the spared nonischemic portion of the ventricular wall, large infarcts were produced in rats, and the animals were killed 2 days after surgery. Left ventricular end-diastolic pressure was increased, whereas left ventricular dP/dt and systolic pressure were decreased, indic...
